Underslung Reefer – powerful and fuel-efficient reefer genset from JAVAC

The JAVAC Underslung reefer genset is designed to operate for long periods autonomously, even under the harshest conditions. Thanks to its robust design and reliable components, this generator delivers consistent performance for road and rail transport.

The air intake filter provides excellent protection against dust and impurities that could affect the diesel engine. For extreme conditions, an optional oil-bath air filter can be selected, which captures dust particles in oil for extra protection.

The Underslung reefer is equipped with a water-cooled Kubota V2203 diesel engine with low noise levels and an enlarged oil sump, significantly extending maintenance intervals. The 260-liter fuel tank provides a long operating range, and the fuel is automatically preheated as soon as the temperature drops below freezing.

The PMG alternator delivers an efficiency of 92%, resulting in 35% lower fuel consumption. Thanks to the absence of an AVR controller and diode bridge, the alternator is extremely reliable and low-maintenance. The field winding is built to marine-grade quality, resistant to extreme heat and cold, and meets IP-55 for complete dust and water tightness—essential for use in harsh weather conditions or desert environments.

The Underslung reefer features a stainless-steel enclosure and a galvanized chassis with a weather-resistant coating, ensuring a long service life. The built-in Fuelsmart Saving Controller optimizes fuel consumption and saves up to an additional 25% fuel, making this one of the most fuel-efficient reefer generators on the market.

Each unit is thoroughly tested before delivery and is designed to fit under any standard ISO chassis or rail wagon. The generator weighs 851 kg and can optionally be supplied in aluminum for a lighter configuration. The engine meets the Euro 5 emissions standard and is driven by an advanced alternator, ensuring efficient power generation and low maintenance costs.
