JAVAC ATS automatic transfer – worry-free automatic power switching
The JAVAC ATS automatic transfer (Automatic Transfer Switch) ensures a seamless changeover between mains power and generator power in the event of a power outage.
This intelligent switching technology immediately detects a loss of voltage and automatically starts the generator, ensuring your installation is supplied with uninterrupted power.
How does an ATS automatic transfer work?
The ATS automatic transfer works with a relay that monitors the incoming mains voltage.
When the relay drops out due to a power failure, a second contact—controlled by a time relay—closes and the generator is started automatically.
Depending on the power rating, JAVAC uses two types of switches:
Motor relay for power ratings up to 125 kVA
Switching relay for higher power ratings
When the generator reaches its operating value (usually 1500 rpm), the second relay closes, and the generator’s power is routed to the load — for example a home, factory, hospital, or machine park.
Safe and automatic operation
The ATS mains transfer automatically switches the load back to the grid as soon as the voltage is restored.
The timer ensures that the transfer only takes place once the voltage is stable, usually after about one minute.
After the switchover, the generator continues to run for a few minutes to cool down and then shuts down automatically.
After that, the system is ready again for the next power outage.
Compact and powerful design
JAVAC offers ATS mains transfer systems that are perfectly matched to the size of your generator.
Small ATS switches for 6 kW / 230 V generators
Motorized 125A ATS cabinets for power ratings up to 75 kVA
All cabinets are CE-certified, equipped with a residual current device (RCD), and comply with the strictest safety standards.
When purchasing a JAVAC emergency generator, installation costs are included (for Belgium and Northern France).
The ATS mains transfer thus provides a reliable, safe, and automatic solution for anyone who wants a continuous power supply, even during power outages.
