CHP Combined Heat and Power – efficient energy solution from JAVAC

The CHP Combined Heat and Power system from JAVAC offers a sustainable way to generate heat and electricity simultaneously.
Our CHP installations are manufactured by a partner with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certifications, and of course comply with CE standards.
This guarantees reliability, safety, and high quality.

Reliable engineering and sustainable performance

A CHP installation is a long-term investment and is often used 24/7.
That is why working with a reliable partner is essential.
JAVAC offers CHP Combined Heat and Power systems running on diesel or gas—including natural gas, biogas, butane gas, and LPG—with power ratings from 6 kW up to 500 kW.

We use engines from top brands such as Isuzu, Perkins, Cummins, Baudouin, and MTU, combined with alternators from Mecalte, Leroy Somer, or Stamford.
This configuration provides stable voltage with minimal harmonic distortion, so even sensitive equipment can be connected safely.

Smart use of waste heat

With conventional generators, 60–70% of the energy is lost as heat.
Our CHP Combined Heat and Power systems recover that energy via heat exchangers on cooling water and exhaust gases.
The recovered heat can be used for residential, agricultural, or industrial applications, delivering significant energy savings.

Many applications can be found in greenhouse horticulture, where CO₂, heat, and electricity are used efficiently.
Smaller installations—for example in combination with solar panels or battery storage—also benefit from the advantages of CHP technology.

Complete installation and service

JAVAC offers a turnkey package: from design and installation to commissioning and control of external components.
We deliver custom-made CHP installations for both domestic and international projects, with flexible power outputs from 12 to 80 kW and beyond.

How does CHP Combined Heat and Power work?

A CHP Combined Heat and Power system produces heat and electricity in one system.
Where traditional installations generate energy separately, CHP uses fuel more efficiently by limiting exergy losses.
Electricity is fully convertible energy (exergy), while heat is only partially convertible.
By producing both together, fuel is used far more efficiently.

The system recovers high-grade heat from the engine and uses the waste heat (80–500°C) for heating or even cooling (via absorption chillers).
This results in maximum energy efficiency and lower fuel consumption.

Benefits of CHP Combined Heat and Power

  • Up to 30% lower fuel consumption compared to separate production

  • Lower CO₂ and NOx emissions

  • Option to use renewable fuels such as biogas

  • Tax advantages and regional support schemes

  • Reliable 24/7 operation, suitable for industry, agriculture, and healthcare facilities

The CHP Combined Heat and Power system contributes to the European “20-20-20” targets:
20% fewer emissions, 20% renewable energy, and 20% higher efficiency.
By decentralizing electricity generation, CHP also reduces losses in the high-voltage grid.
